Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Builders Node ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects personal data when you use our membership platform and website (the "Service"). We aim to collect only what we need to run the community and to be transparent about it.

1. Data we collect

Category	Examples
Account	Name, email address, password (stored only as a hash), role.
Profile	Phone number, location, and details you add to your profile.
Applications	Information you submit when applying for membership, including referral codes.
E-Residency proof	Documents you upload to verify E-Residency status.
Payments	Payment status and plan records. Card/crypto details are handled by our payment provider, not stored by us.
Technical	Basic request data needed to operate and secure the Service.

2. How we use it

To create and manage your account and membership.
To process applications, E-Residency verification, and community services (housing, meals, etc.).
To send transactional emails (account setup, password reset, email verification).
To keep the Service secure and to comply with legal obligations.

3. Legal bases

Where applicable (e.g. under the GDPR), we rely on: performance of a contract (to provide the membership), your consent (where requested), our legitimate interests (to secure and improve the Service), and compliance with legal obligations.

4. Service providers

We share data only with providers that help us run the Service, under appropriate safeguards:

Supabase — database hosting.
Vercel — application hosting.
Resend — transactional email delivery.
Google — optional "Sign in with Google".
Próspera / ProsperaSub — E-Residency and related community services.

5. International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms to protect your data.

6. Retention

We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service or to meet legal obligations. You can request deletion at any time (see below).

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Correct inaccurate data (you can edit your profile in-app).
Export your data — available from Settings → Your data → Download my data.
Delete your account and associated data — from Settings → Your data → Delete my account.
Object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent.

8. Cookies

We use only essential, first-party browser storage needed to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

9. Security

Passwords are hashed, traffic is encrypted in transit, and access to systems is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
